Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, the President of the Ghana Football Association, recently visited the Black Princesses team to congratulate them on their victory in the WAFU B U20 Girls Cup held in Kumasi.
Ghana emerged as champions after defeating Nigeria 3-1 in a penalty shootout in the inaugural edition of the tournament.
During his visit, President Simeon-Okraku commended the team’s head coach and assistants for their excellent teamwork throughout the tournament. He expressed gratitude for their unity and emphasized the importance of teamwork in football.
The President praised the players for making Ghanaians proud and acknowledged their hard work, dedication, and determination. He highlighted the challenging journey they faced but admired their resilience and fighting spirit. President Simeon-Okraku noted the team’s discipline and unity from the beginning, urging them to be proud of their achievements.
He encouraged the team to aim for greater heights and qualify for the World Cup. Stressing the significance of unity and teamwork, the President expressed confidence that the team can surpass previous performances and progress beyond the group stage.
