Black Stars captain Jordan Ayew has assured President John Dramani Mahama that the team will give their all to secure victories in their upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Ghana is set to face Chad on Friday at the Accra Sports Stadium before traveling to Morocco to take on Madagascar at the Mimoun Al Arsi Stadium in Al Hoceima next Monday.
Ahead of these crucial fixtures, President Mahama visited the team during their training session at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday to offer his support and motivation.
“It’s a big sign that you’re here supporting us. We know we’re in a tough situation, but we’re not afraid. We will turn things around on Friday, so you can relax. We’ll do the job for the nation,” Ayew assured.
The Black Stars have come under intense criticism following their failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and are determined to redeem themselves in the World Cup qualifiers.
