Former Berekum Chelsea head coach Asare Bediako has officially started work as Hearts of Oak deputy head coach.
Bediako joined the team bus in Kumasi on Thursday when Hearts of Oak were returning from Dormaa to pitch camp in Elmina ahead of their season opener against Ashantigold on Tuesday.
The Phobians were due to take on Aduana Stars last Saturday during the opening week of the Ghana Premier League but the game was cancelled due to Covid-19 issues in the Heats of Oak camp.
Bediako who holds CAF licence A certificate qualifies to head the technical department of any football side in the country and Hearts of Oak hope he brings his expertise to support head trainer Nii Odoom this season.
Hearts of Oak has not won the Ghana league since 2009.
