Asante Kotoko head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum, is cautious about the challenge Legon Cities might bring in their upcoming Ghana Premier League match on Wednesday night.
Despite Legon Cities’ difficult start to the season—they currently sit at the bottom of the table with only two points from seven matches—Ogum is not underestimating them. He highlighted that facing teams in poor form can be unpredictable and stressed the importance of his players staying focused and avoiding complacency.
“I mean, he who is down fears no fall. They are not in a very good position, and they would want to use this to revamp their hopes in the league,” Ogum explained in his pre-match interview.
“So, I’m sure they will come at us in multiple ways,” he added, noting that Legon Cities will be motivated by “effort, commitment, and the desire to play well and get the maximum points.”
With this in mind, Ogum emphasized the need for Kotoko to be vigilant, saying, “We have to be very careful. We also have to make sure that we stay focused and don’t let complacency set in.”
Asante Kotoko, currently sitting second on the table with 15 points, have a chance to move to the top if they secure a win in this game.
