Abdul Rahim Bashiru, assistant coach of Hearts of Oak Sporting Club, is rallying the club’s supporters to stand firmly behind the team ahead of their pivotal clash against Berekum Chelsea at the Berekum Golden City Park.
Scheduled for Saturday, May 4, this match in Match Week 29 of the Ghana Premier League 2023-2024 season holds immense importance for Hearts, who are eager for a much-needed victory.
The Phobians have encountered difficulties in recent games, securing just one win in their last six outings. Their most recent setback was a narrow 1-0 defeat to Accra Lions at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Addressing the media post-match, Bashiru expressed confidence in midfielder Glid Otanga’s availability despite his recent injury and urged Hearts fans to maintain faith in the team’s capability to triumph in Berekum.
“We are not happy…but they should still have that confidence in us. They should back us; we can even go to Chelsea and give them that three points.”
Hearts currently sit 12th in the league standings, while Berekum Chelsea hold the sixth position; the latter suffered a 3-2 loss to Legon Cities at Dawu.
