Match winner Osman Bukari spoke to KAA Gent website after netting his debut goal their slim win at Charloroi on Sunday evening.
The 21-year-old Ghanaian scored his first for the Buffalos and it was a very important one as his goal secured three points for the visitors.
“Very happy!”, Bukari began. “And an away win so it was perfect. It’s not easy at Charleroi anyway, because they are one of the best teams in the competition.”
Bukari continued by saying that, the team despite being hit with injuries and Covid-19 positive cases went into the game full of believe and were confident of a win.
” We came here to win and we did! Congratulations to the whole team because they did a fantastic job. It was all teamwork! We have to enjoy this for a while and then we concentrate on Thursday’s Europa League game. ”
Just before half-time, Bukari intercepted Charleroi defender Dessoleil’s pass. The speedy Bukari thanked for the present and finished quietly.
“I was waiting for such an opportunity (laughs). Fortunately, I was in the right place. My speed? I try to use that as best I can. We now have to build on this victory ”, concluded Bukari.
