Accra Great Olympics talismanic captain, Gladson Awako has reacted to his team’s impressive win over City rivals Accra Hearts of Oak on Saturday night.
The former TP Mazembe man after the match claimed his team are the real owners of the land after gaining bragging right in the GA-Mashie Derby.
Awako inspired the ‘Wonder Club’ to a famous 2-0 win against their bitterest rivals in the Ghana Premier League for the first time in 17 years.
The 30-year-old Ghanaian midfield-gem controlled the midfield for the Blue and Whites in their hard earned and deserving win over the Rainbow Boys.
On the
13th minute mark, Olympics were awarded quite a questionable free-kick at the edge of the box on the left side and the diminutive midfield-gem slotted home the opener with a sumptuous direct free-kick to make it 1-0.
Three minutes later, Maxwell Abbey Quaye produced another masterclass finish to put two goals up.
The Phobians tried all they could in the second 45 minutes of the match but could not utilize their chances as it ended 2-0 to the away team.
Awako has scored four goals and provided three assists in eleven games this season for the DADE Boys in the Ghana Premier League.
