Karela United defender Maxwell Agyemang has expressed confidence in his team’s readiness ahead of their Ghana Premier League clash against Basake Holy Stars this weekend.
Agyemang believes the recent league suspension, while challenging, has allowed the players to prepare thoroughly for the crucial Week 23 fixture.
Speaking in a pre-match interview, he acknowledged the threat posed by Holy Stars but emphasized Karela United’s determination to secure all three points.
“The suspension of the league didn’t help us, but we are happy it is resuming this weekend. We have prepared well for Basake Holy Stars. They are not a bad side and can pose a challenge, but we are ready to fight for all three points,” Agyemang said.
He also praised his teammates for their commitment in training and called on fans to rally behind the team.
“All the players are giving their best. We are confident of winning our upcoming game. We appeal to our fans to come in their numbers to support us.”
The Ghana Premier League returns this weekend after a four-week break, with all 18 clubs eager to secure vital points and climb the league table.
