Head coach of the senior national team, Charles Kwablan Akonnor has concurred his team were not exciting against Ethiopia on Friday.
The Black Stars kicked off their 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia at the Cape Coast stadium win a 1-0 win over their opponents.
Mubarak Wakaso scored the only goal of the game as Ghana began their campaign with a win, which sees them climb to the top of table in Group G.
Akonnor who continues to be at the helm of affairs for the team agreed with criticisms that his side were not exciting but suggested they were efficient.
“I must be honest with myself, we were not too exciting with ourselves but at least the team was efficient,” the gaffer said after the game.
The Black Stars played what many have described as one of their worst performances under coach Akonnor but they will be glad to have amassed all three points.
Ghana faces South Africa away from home in their next game in the qualifiers on Monday.
