Vincent Oppong Asamoah, deputy Minister for Sports, is charging Head Coach of the Black Stars Avram Grant to amend his tactics and ensure Ghana gets qualification to the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup .
Ghana currently lie 3rd in Group E of the qualifiers after disappointedly drawing against Uganda at home and losing 2-0 to Egypt in the second game in Cairo.
The Black Stars under Avram Grant have gone five games winless streak. A result that has invited pressure on the Israeli trainer.
Ghana chances of making its fourth successive appearance to World Cup currently bleaks but Minister Oppong Asamoah is optimistic the team can bounce back to winning ways and qualify if Grant does the right thing.
Speaking in an interview with Kumasi based Abusua FM, the deputy sports minister mentioned“I don’t believe that Ghana is out of the world. Avram grant should wake up from his slumber and put things together.”
“Mathematically, we are still in the race.” He added.
The Black Stars next play Congo Brazzaville in the third game of the Russia 2018 Qualifiers on August 28, 2017 with the conviction of picking they first victory.
