Ghanaian winger Yaw Yeboah netted a Lionel Messi-esque goal for CD Numancia in their home loss against Real Oviedo in the Spanish Segunda Division on Monday night.
The 21-year-old attacker was on target and bagged the best player award but the Soria-based side were defeated 3-2 at the Nuevo Estadio Los Pajaritos.
Despite Yeboah ending up on the losing side, his superlative performance did not go unnoticed as he was named the best player on the pitch, pipping Oviedo’s Sergio Tejera to the gong.
The award was Yeboah’s third of the campaign for the struggling Soria-based outfit.
The Ghana U23 star has registered one assist and two goals in 17 games for the side in the ongoing campaign.
