Wing-wizard Solomon Asante grabbed his fifth league goal of the season for USL side Phoenix Rising Stars on Wednesday.
The Ghanaian playmaker notched his side’s last of the four goals against LA Galaxy II deep into additional time with a beautiful strike from inside the goal area into the top corner with his right foot.
The diminutive winger, who’s the leader of his team once again proved to his worth as he tormented the opposition throughout the mouth-watering end-to-end game which ended 4-1 to the Red and Blacks.
Asante has been constantly featuring in the USL Championship team of the week after winning last season’s player of the year and is on course to make it two consecutive player-of-the-year should he continue with his impressive showings in the league so far.
