Former captain of Ghana Premier League powerhouse Accra Hearts of Oak, Mahatma Otoo scored his third league goal of the 2020-21 season in Turkey.
The 29-year-old Ghanaian forward netted the winning goal off the bench to secure victory for his team Balikesirspor in their 2-1 away win at Ümraniyespor.
Six minutes to the end of the first half, Atakan Uner’s right-footed shot found the back of the net to put the hosts in front but four minutes later with two minutes to the break, Enes Durmus equalized for the visitors.
With 87 minutes showing on the clock, Roman Bezjak set up the Ghanaian inside the box before he went past two players to apply a cool finish into the bottom left corner to snatch all three points for his team, Balikesirspor.
The Ghanaian international has played 18 times in the Turkish Lig 1 scoring three goals and providing one assist in the process.
