Ghanaian forward Francis Kyeremeh featured in Zalgiris Vilnius’ UEFA Champions League Qualification second leg game defeat to Ferencvaros on Tuesday night at the LFF Stadium.
The former Hapoel Tel Aviv attacking midfielder started the game but was replaced by Gustas Jarusevicius in the 87th minute as his team suffered a 1-5 aggregate defeat.
Kyereneh’s Zalgiris despite playing at home went down in the 44th minute after Ryan Kabir scored a brilliant goal for Ferencvaros.
Back from recess, Ryan Kabir scored again after he was superbly set up by Myrto Uzuni in the 72nd-minute mark of the game to give the visitors a 0-2 lead.
Elhadji Pape Diaw, however, managed to score the only consolation goal for Zalgiris Vilnius on stoppage time but Robert Mak hit the back of the net after 90+4 to wrap up a 1-3 win for the away team.
Born in Nsuatre in the Bono Region of Ghana, Kyeremeh, 25 has bagged eight goals in seventeen games for Žalgiris.
He has also played four matches for his side in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers with no goal to his name.
