Ghana U17 head Coach Paa Kwesi Fabian believes his boys played well in their quarter-final match against Mali despite being knocked out of the competition.
According to the experience youth Coach, everything went on well for his team except that Algerian referee Mehdi Abid Charef disallowed his side what he describes as a perfect goal to end the Ghanaians their stay in the tournament.
Two Goals from Hadji Drame and Djemoussa Traore ensured the Malians who prior to the had beaten the Ghanaian side twice booked qualification to semifinals of the tournament.
However, midfielder Kudus Mohammed scored the only consolation for the Starlets from the spot after striker Sadiq Ibrahim has been fouled in the Malians penalty box.
Speaking after the game, an unhappy Fabian said ”Everything was perfect, we scored a perfect goal which was disallowed that is all I have to say”.
