Ghanaian forward Daniel Afriyie Barnieh’s exceptional performance for FC Zurich against FC Lugano has earned him a well-deserved spot on Sofascore’s Swiss Super League team of the week.
The former Hearts of Oak striker played a pivotal role in FC Zurich’s commanding 3-0 victory, contributing two goals in the second half to ignite a dominant performance by the home team at the Letzigrund.
Afriyie Barnieh broke the deadlock in the 68th minute and swiftly added his second goal just eight minutes later. Jonathan Okita sealed the victory with a goal in the final ten minutes.
His current tally of two goals adds to his growing confidence as he strives to solidify his position in the starting lineup, all the while setting his sights on a potential return to the Black Stars national team.
