The French side announced the capture of Ghana international midfielder Emmanuel Lomotey from Spanish lower tier side Extremadura UD on Monday afternoon in a four-year deal.
But there was a small mistake in the spelling of the name of the Spanish club which some fans will not forgive the Ligue 2 side even though it appears trivia.
The former Ligue 1 campaigners wrote ” Extramadura UD” on the official club image unveiling the former Dreams FC midfielder instead of “Extremadura UD” which is the correct spelling.
Whilst others decided to troll the Ligue 2 side other fans gently pointed out the mistake.
Amiens SC were relegated from the 2019/20 Ligue 1 that was truncated at Week 27 due to the Coronavirus and since many of the big names at the club will obviously not play in the second-tier league the club is recruiting replacements as they bid to stage a comeback to the elite competition next season and Lomotey has been signed for that purpose.
