Turkish Superliga side Goztepe SK have stepped up their chase for Ghanaian defender Daniel Amartey ahead of the 2020 summer transfer window.
The “Goz” are bent on beefing their squad for next season and manager Ilhan Palut has identified the out of favor Leicester City player as someone who can help his course.
SPORTSworldGhana.com understands that officials of Goztepe are already in talks with Leicester City over Amartey with negotiations reaching advanced stage yesterday (Saturday).
Goztepe are said to have made it clear to Leicester that they currently do not have the needed resources to purchase Amartey on a permanent deal but they will take him on loan with an option to buy next summer.
Amartey is yet to feature in the EPL this season and he has already been told by manager Brendan Rogers that he is not in his immediate plan.
