Egyptian Giants Al Ahly is contemplating of not renewing South African winger Percy Tau’s contract which is set to expire in the end of the current campaign.
Percy Tau, 29, joined the Red Devils in a deal worth 1.8 million Euros from Brighton & Hove Albion in 2021.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns forward has been one of the main attackers of Al Ahly alongside El Shahat and Afsha since joining the club. Howerver, It is believed that Al Ahly are planning to not renew his contract due to the huge demands of Tau and his entourage.
In February, it was revealed that Al Ahly wanted to make Tau the highest paid player on the continent after deciding to renew his contract by two years but news from Al Ahly camp says the Red Devils might part ways with him.
The South African striker is on 1.2 million dollars yearly salary and has won 8 trophies since joining the most successful club in the world in terms of number of trophies won.
Offers will not be any problem if Al Ahly doesn’t reach an agreement with Percy Tau to continue his stay in Egypt especially when he will become a free agent in June. Many clubs will be willing to add him to their squad.
