Asante Kotoko interim trainer Michael Osei has said that Dr. Kwame Kyei has given him the green light to work as head coach of the club despite rumours that the club is bent on replacing his a foreign trainer.
Michael Osei, who deputized David Duncan during his regime was named as the stand in coach to replace David Duncan, following a poor start to the 2015/2016 season.
According to the former Kotoko player, Dr. Kyei has told him to ignore reports in the media that he will soon be replaced with an expatriate coach
In an interview with Kuamsi based Nhyira FM he said “Dr. Kwame Kyei has told me to stay focused and ignore all rumours circulating that he is going for a foreign coach, because what foreign coaches can do, local ones can also do,”,
