Ghana star Thomas Partey excelled on his first start for Arsenal in their 2-1 with against Rapid Vienna in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday.
The ace midfielder sealed a €50 million move to Arsenal on the transfer deadline day and played his first European competition game for the Gunners.
The 27-year old was handed his first start at the club for the first group stage game in this season’s Europa League against Rapid Vienna.
The Ghanaian international enjoyed the full duration of the game as Arsenal came from behind to seal a 2-1 away victory.
Rapid Vienna picked the lead in the 51st minute through Greek midfielder Taxiarchis Fountas before David Luiz pulled parity for Arsenal in the 70the minute mark of the game.
The visitors pushed for more goals after grabbing the leveller before Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang struck in the 74th minute to win secure all three points for the London-based club.
