Arsenal and Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey could be in line for contract extension talks in the coming weeks, according to journalist Charles Watts, with early indications suggesting the Gunners may soon open negotiations to keep the Ghanaian international at the club.
Sources close to Partey indicate that the 30-year-old is now content at Arsenal and is keen to continue his career in North London, where he hopes to further settle with his family.
Despite interest from top European clubs including Atlético Madrid, Barcelona, and Juventus, Partey’s preference remains clear—his priority is to stay at Arsenal.
The Gunners are expected to make key midfield decisions this summer, with plans reportedly advancing to secure Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi. Meanwhile, veteran midfielder Jorginho is expected to make a move to Brazilian side Flamengo.
Although formal contract talks with Partey are yet to begin, the midfielder is reportedly ready to commit his future to Arsenal and sign a new deal as soon as the club makes their intentions official.
