Communication strategist, Gabby Otchere-Darko has rubbished claims the Black Stars of Ghana’s 2022 FIFA World Cup chances could be complicated following the loss to South Africa.
Ghana were hosted by the Bafana Bafana on Monday, a game they lost by a goal to nil while also failing to hit a shot on target.
The performance of the Stars has generated wild discussions among football fanatics and journalists across the country with some already cutting down the chances of Ghana making it to Qatar next year.
However, Gabby Otchere-Darko believes there is still a lot more to be played before Ghanaians can conclude on the current situation, calling on the support for the team as well as the head coach Charles Kwablan Akonnor.
He made the comments on his Twitter page in the early hours of Wednesday.
The post reads: “I don’t see the panic for the Black Stars. Losing to South Africa in SA with a return match in hand is by no means a disaster. We are in good shape with our 2022 destiny pretty firmly in our own hands. Let’s back CK & our men on the field & charge them to work for team & country.”

Ghana still have four games to play until the end of the World Cup qualifying campaign, including back-to-back games against Zimbabwe.
