Samuel Oduro Nyarko, a seasoned football administrator, believes it will be tough for the Ghana Football Association to persuade Black Stars head coach, Chris Hughton.
The former Norwich City man was brought in as the new gaffer of the team following the resignation of Otto Addo after Ghana’s 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign. Hughton is currently on a 21-month deal for the Ghana FA.
The Kurt Okraku-led administration has been charged with attempting to sway player selections for the different national teams, particularly the senior team, the Black Stars.
It will be challenging to influence the former Brighton manager’s work because of his extensive expertise and illustrious history in the game, according to the former Wa All Stars CEO who is now the CEO of Legon Cities.
“Hughton is the man who cannot be manipulated; he is good. I think that he is the one who will stick to his guns and not allow himself to be manipulated. That makes him a good coach, coupled with his experience in the English premier league,” he told Citi Sports.
“It (the Black Stars) is a young team and the possibility to lead this team to success is glaring,” he added.
Hughton picked up a win and a draw in his first two games in charge of the national team.
