Ghanaian winger Tariqe Fosu was on target for Northampton Town in their 1-1 draw with Wigan Athletic on the final day of the 2024/25 League One campaign.
The game took place at Sixfields Stadium, where Fosu broke the deadlock in the 33rd minute. He finished off a quick counter-attack with a well-placed right-footed strike into the bottom corner.
Northampton held the lead until stoppage time, when Wigan drew level through Dale Taylor, who found the net after connecting with a cross from James Carragher.
The match ended on a tense note as Wigan defender Will Aimson received a red card for a reckless tackle late in the game.
Fosu’s goal was his fourth in 21 league outings this season, underlining his contribution since arriving at Northampton.
