Tanzanian top-flight club Singida Black Stars FC have pulled off a significant coup by securing the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Keyekeh from FC Samartex on a three-year deal.
The 26-year-old midfielder has already made his debut for the team in the CECAFA Kagame Cup game against Rwandan champions APR FC on Tuesday.
Keyekeh’s impressive form in the Ghana Premier League last season, where he led Samartex to their first-ever league title, scoring 5 goals and providing 2 assists in 32 matches, has earned him widespread recognition.
He was awarded the best home-based footballer at the 2024 Ghana Football Awards held in Accra a fortnight ago.
The midfielder’s signing is a significant boost to Black Stars ahead of the 2024-25 season, and fans expect him to make a significant impact in the upcoming campaign. His experience and skills will be invaluable to the team, which is poised to challenge for the Tanzanian Premier League title next term.
Keyekeh’s move is also a notable one as he joins Dauda Yussif Seidu, who recently left Ghana Premier League champions FC Samartex to join Rwandan side APR FC.
