President of the Ghana FA Normalization Committee, Dr Kofi Amoah has revealed that Sulley Ali Muntari has expressed a desire to play for the Black Stars again.
The dynamic midfielder has not been in the national team jersey after the 2014 World Cup mayhem in Brazil.
Muntari was sacked from the camp of the Black Stars with Kevin Prince Boateng after he smashed gadgets worth $8000 belonging to former Management Member of the Black Stars, Mose Armah Parker.
After work of the Commission of Inquiry, it was recommended that both players should apologize to the country.
However, Muntari star has apologized to the country but jet to feature for the four-time African champions.
But ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, Dr Amoah has revealed that the former Portsmouth star is ready to play for the country before he retires.
“I had a call from Sulley Muntari and I couldn’t believe the passion he spoke with,” he told Metro TV. “He said if Coach Kwesi Appiah will only play him for 15 minutes, he will be grateful and accept it.
“This is a player who was clubless but now playing regularly but I think the final decision is in the hands of the coach.
Dr Amoah also confirmed he has had a discussion with Coach Kwesi Appiah about the future of Barcelona forward, Kevin Prince Boateng.
“I have told Kwesi Appiah that Kevin Prince Boateng is a good player but the coach has the sole authority to choose any player of his choice ahead of the AFCON.
“I can never choose a player for the coach and I will never be disappointed these players failed to make the AFCON squad,” he added.
Sulley Muntari is currently playing for Spanish second tier side Albacete on a one-year deal.
