In-form Ghana forward Joseph Paintsil of Belgium Jupiler Pro League side KRC Genk has been removed from the Ghana team by head coach Otto Addo.
The former Tema Youth player is one of the best performing Ghanaian players abroad this season playing in the top-flight of Belgium.
Despite his scintillating and eye-catching displays coupled with mouth-watering showings in the Belgium top-flight this season for Blue and Whites outfit, the former Tema Youth player has been axed from the squad.
The 24-year-old Ghanaian international has scored three goals and provided one assist in seven matches this season in the Belgium top-flight.
Since Otto Addo took over as Ghana coach, Paintsil has barely been given a chance to shine on the field and has eventually been booted out of the team.
Ghana will play Brazil on September 23 at the Stade de Oceane in Le Harve and will take on minnows Nicaragua days later.
