Nsoatreman FC coach Maxwell Konadu has revealed that his self-belief was the driving force behind his decision to join the Ghanaian club.
In his first season with the team, Konadu led Nsoatreman FC to FA Cup glory, defeating Bofoakwa Tano 5-4 in a penalty shootout after the game ended 1-1 in extra time.
Richard Dzikoe scored for Bofoakwa in the 22nd minute, while Sadat Mohammed equalized for Nsoatreman in the 79th minute after Tano goalkeeper Emmanuel Kobi mishandled Mohammed’s speculative shot.
According to Konadu, his self-belief in his ability to transform the newly promoted club motivated him to sign the deal.
“For sure, I knew that I could transform the team because I know what I have and when you believe in yourself, I think it’s the beginning of everything,” he said.
The former Black Stars assistant coach also credited his self-belief with motivating him to sign with Nsoatreman FC. “The self-belief did a lot. It motivated me to sign the contract for Nsoatreman,” he added.
With this victory, Nsoatreman FC will represent Ghana in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.
