Ghana international Mohammed Kudus says it was unbelievable for him to come off the bench to score in his first appearance for the Black Stars.
The 22-year-old made his debut for the national team in November 2019, coming off the bench to score in Ghana’s win over South Africa during the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Then a Nordsjaelland talent, Kudus was playing week-in and week-out for his club side and was deemed good enough for the national team and Kwasi Appiah never hesitated to draft him into the team.
Since his debut, the 22-year-old has scored five goals in 18 appearances for Ghana.
Speaking on Star Connect, the midfielder expressed his feeling after his debut goal.
“For me to make my debut and score, the feeling was unbelievable and most importantly we won,” he said when quizzed about playing his first game of the Black Stars.
