The new Hearts of Oak head coach has never lost a league game against Asante Kotoko and his current employers during his time as Medeama SC gaffer.
In six matches played against the two biggest football clubs in the country, Samuel Boadu boasts of an impressive record. 4 wins and 2 draws. 8 goals scored and 2 conceded.
In 2018 season which was later halted and cancelled due to the “Anas Number 12 Expose” Boadu guided Medeama to a 1-0 win over Asante Kotoko in Tarkwa and drew at the home of Hearts of Oak.
The next season of 2019/20 which will also be canceled and expunged due to the Covid-19, Medeama defeated Hearts of Oak by 3-0 at home and then proceeded to beat Kotoko 1-0 under the guidance of the new Hearts of Oak manager.
This season his Medeama team started very slowly but still managed a 1-0 win over Hearts of Oak in Tarkwa and drew to Kotoko.
Boadu might not have won any trophy as a young tactician but his record against the country’s top most football teams is impressive and it is perhaps one of the main reasons why Togbe Afede hired him.
