Former Hearts of Oak coach, Samuel Boadu, has signaled his preparedness to take on the mantle of coaching the Black Stars in the future, underscoring his wealth of experience gained over the years as a pivotal factor in his readiness for the role.
At 38 years old, Boadu has emerged as a prominent figure among local coaches in Ghana, having effectively helmed the reins at clubs like Medeama SC and Hearts of Oak.
His crowning achievement occurred during the 2020/21 season when he orchestrated Hearts of Oak’s triumphant treble, securing the Ghana Premier League, FA Cup, and Super Cup titles.
Boadu’s winning streak continued as he added another league cup and the President’s Cup to his accolades, amassing a total of five trophies during his tenure with Hearts of Oak.
Currently steering the ship at Berekum Chelsea following a stint as assistant coach of the Black Satellites, Boadu articulated his aspirations for the Black Stars role during an interview on Akoma FM in Kumasi.
“I aspire to manage the senior national team, the Black Stars, like any other coach,” he remarked. “However, I acknowledge that this will be contingent upon my performance with my current club.”
The Black Stars are presently under the stewardship of Otto Addo, who assumed the reins from Chris Hughton in recent times.
