Ghanaian star Thomas Partey has joined Spanish club Villarreal on a two-year deal. The 32-year-old midfielder is going back to Spain after leaving Arsenal when his contract ended in June.
Partey is well known in Spain from his time at Atletico Madrid, and now he is ready for a new challenge with Villarreal. The club will play in the Champions League this season, and Partey is expected to be an important player for them.
During his five years at Arsenal, he played 167 matches and scored nine goals. Last season was his best at the club, with 52 games, four goals, and three assists.
His move to Villarreal gives him the chance to play more top-level football and help his new team succeed in Europe.
