Reading FC head coach Paul Ince expressed his delight following the return of Ghanaian left-back Abdul Baba Rahman on loan from Chelsea.
The 28-year-old played for the club during the 2021/22 season where he became one of the key performers.
But he returned to parent club Chelsea and has now returned after the Blues deemed him surplus to requirements.

Speaking to the club’s website, Paul Ince said ”A natural left-back with experience at the very highest level has been a clear priority in our recruitment plans this summer and, while we have had to be patient, we are now excited to welcome Baba back to the club! Our fans know all about what he can bring to this squad and what we are trying to achieve this season and I’m really looking forward to working with him again this season!”
He will team up with countryman Andy Yiadom at the club.
