Ghanaian youngster Henry Addo has enjoyed league title success in his first season as Maccabi Tel-Aviv were crowned champions of Israel.
Addo’s side secured a 3-0 victory over Hapoel Beer Sheva on Saturday evening, opening up an unassailable eight-point lead with two games remaining.
The 21-year-old Ghanaian attacker joined Maccabi Tel Aviv from Slovakian side MSK Zilina on a 3.5-year deal in February 2024, in a transfer worth 1 million euros.

Despite being a graduate from Zilina’s African youth academy, Addo’s contributions were limited to just one game for Maccabi Tel Aviv, with no goals or assists.
Even though Addo didn’t play a major role in the team’s triumph, Maccabi Tel Aviv won 24 games, drew 7, and lost only 3 of their 34 matches.
The team will now enter the Champions League qualifiers in the summer.
