Following their victory in the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League, Medeama Sporting Club fulfilled their visit to President Akufo-Addo at Jubilee House to formally present the championship trophy.
During this occasion, the President pledged Gh₵1,000,000 to the team ahead of their upcoming CAF Champions League campaign.
On December 14, 2023, the Minister for Youth and Sports, Hon Mustapha Ussif, along with his Deputy, Hon Evans Opoku Bobie, delivered on the President’s promise by presenting a cheque of One million Ghana cedis (Gh₵1,000,000) to Medeama Sporting Club.
Expressing gratitude, Hon George Mireku Duker, Member of Parliament for the Tarkwa Nsuaem constituency, commended President Akufo-Addo for honoring his commitment to the club. He assured Ghanaians that the team would give their best effort in the upcoming competition to make the nation proud.
Currently occupying the third position with four points, Medeama SC is gearing up to face Young Africans S.C. in their next Group D game at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium on Wednesday, December 20.
