Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane is not happy with penalties awarded to Ghana and DR. Congo as both countries secured a place in the next phase of the 2022 world cup qualifiers at the expense of South Africa and Benin respectively.
Mosimane pointed out that there will always be a long gap between UEFA and CAF if home teams are favored in deciding duels.
“Penalties!! CAF World Cup qualifiers: DRC vs Benin Ghana vs SA What’s your take ? What is the solution to this challenge? How far in years between UEFA and CAF Football (National teams and Club Football).” He tweeted.
Ghana topped Group B with superior goal difference after finishing on the same points with South Africa whereas DR Congo topped Group J with eleven points.
