There were goals for Francis Amuzu in Belgium, Mitch Apau, while Michael Folivi for Watford, Jonah Osabutey, John Yeboah, Charles-Jesaja Hermann, Gabriel Mensah, Marcus Coffie and a brace for Anpong in the Netherlands.

Ghanaian internationals Caleb Ekuban, Aziz Tetteh, Alfred Duncan, William Owusu Acheampong and Jeffrey Schlupp all scored in various top-flight games across Europe over the weekend.

ENGLAND

Arsenal won 1-0 at the death over Huddersfield Town. English-born Ghanaian Edward Nketiah watched the entire proceedings from the bench. German-born Ghanaian Collin Quarner was not part of the Huddersfield Town squad for the game.

Newcastle United succumbed to a 2-1 home defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers. Ghana winger Christian Atsu played 89 minutes for the Magpies.

Manchester United destroyed ten-man Fulham 4-1 at Old Trafford. Belgian-born Denis Odoi played at right-back for the Cottagers while Dutch international of Ghanaian descent Timothy Fosu-Mensah missed the game due to loan agreement.

There was a goal for Jeffrey Schlupp in their 3-2 loss at West Ham United. He came off the bench in the second-half along with Jordan Ayew.

Daniel Amartey watched Leicester City’s 2-0 home loss to Tottenham Hotspur from the stands due to injury.

West Bromwich Albion were held to a 2-2 drawn game by visiting Aston Villa. Ghanaian winger Albert Adomah missed the game due to an ankle injury.

Ghana international defender Andy Yiadom played the full 90 minutes for Reading in their 2-0 home loss against visiting Sheffield Utd.

Norway international of Ghanaian descent Alexander Tettey captained Norwich City to a 3-2 win over Bolton Wanderers.

Elsewhere in the League One, Rochdale held Wimbledon to a 1-1 draw at the Kingsmeadow. Ghanaian forward Kwesi Appiah did not make the Wimbledon squad for the game.

At the Bloomfield Road, Blackpool beat Charlton Athletic 2-1. Former Leicester City youngster Joe Dodoostarted upfront for the winners and was replaced in the 75th minute while Tariq Fosu also played for the losers.

Walsall beat Coventry City 2-1 in a keenly contested battle on Saturday. Former Arsenal youth pair of goalkeeper Corey Addai and Abumere Ogogo played for City.

Meanwhile in the League Two, Bury posted a 2-0 win over Exeter on Saturday. Ghanaian midfielder Hiram Boateng was not in the Exeter squad for the game.

English-born Ghanaian midfielder Alex Addai came off the bench to play for Cheltenham Town in their 2-1 win over Grimsby.

Former Watford player Bernard Mensah was on the Lincoln City bench for their 1-0 win over Stevenage in an away fixture.

Antoine Semenyo was introduced in the 26th minute by Newport Co in their 2-1 loss to Swindon Town.

In the National League, Boreham Wood beat Leyton Orient 1-0. Former Stoke City Ghanaian attacker James Alabi was introduced in the 61st minute by the losers.

AFC Fylde suffered a 2-1 loss at Dover Rovers. Ghanaian pair of Kevin Lokko and former Chelsea youth team player Nii Nortey Nortei played for Dover.

Former Chelsea U21 and England U20 captain Nana Ofori-Twumasi and Harold Odametey played for Maidenhead in their 1-0 home loss to Hartlepool. But, their compatriot Nana Owusu was unused.

Solihull Moors held Sutton to a 2-2 draw on Saturday. Ghanaian Kwame Thomas was unused by Moors.

Ghanaian youngster Michael Folivi scored the the only goal of the game for Watford U23 in their 1-0 win over Millwall U23 in the Professional Development League.

Ghanaian goalkeeper Joseph Nii Tetteh-Anang was in post for West Ham United U23 as they suffered a 3-2 loss at Chelsea U23. Sean Adarkwa was not part of the West Ham squad for the game but youngster Tariq Lamptey was in action for Chelsea while Richard Nartey watched the action from the Chelsea bench.

Liverpool U23 sliced Arsenal U23 into pieces beating them 4-1. Ghanaian youngster Osei-Tutu Jordi was excluded from the Arsenal team for the game.

Fulham and Stoke City drew 1-1 and 20-year-old Ghanaian defender Jerome Opoku was not used by Fulham as he watched the entire game from the bench. There was a place on the Stoke bench ex-Dortmund U19 attacker Gabriel Kyeremateng.

Ghanaian starlet Jeremie Frimpong watched from the Manchester City U23 bench as they won 1-0 at Derby County U23.

PORTUGAL

Former Liberty Professionals defender Emmanuel Hackmann warmed the bench for Portimonense in their 4-1 defeat at FC Porto.

Alhassan Wakaso was influential in midfield for Guimaraes in their 3-2 win over Rio Ave.

Black Stars defender Lumor Agbenyenu missed out of the Sporting squad for their 4-1 home win over Aves.

In the second-tier league, former Wa All Stars striker Kwame Nsor played 90 minutes for Academica Viseu in their 0-0 draw with CD Cova da Piedade.

Famalicao won 1-0 against visiting Leixoes. Ghanaian Koffi Kouao played 90 minutes for the winners but Lawrence Ofori was replaced in the first half.

There was a place on the Ferreira bench for Ghanaian midfielder Paul Ayongo when they won 2-1 against Oliveirense.

Abdul-Aziz Yakubu played 84 minutes for Guimaraes B in their 3-2 loss against Penafiel.

TURKEY

Midfielder Isaac Sackey was booked in the 49th minute and played 90 minutes for Alanyaspor in their 0-0 draw at Besiktas on Friday.

Ghanaian midfielder Sulley Muniru played the last 6 minutes of normal time for Yeni Malatyaspor in their 3-1 away win over Erzurum.

Andre Ayew missed Fenerbahce’s 3-0 defeat at Akhisarspor.

In the second-tier league, Ghanaian defender Jerry Akaminko played for Istanbulspor in their 1-1 draw at Kardemir Kurubak.

SPAIN

Atletico Madrid defeated Alaves 3-0. Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey played 90 minutes for Atleti while Wakaso Mubarak started the game but was replaced in the second-half. There was no place in the Alaves team for Patrick Twumasi.

Levante held Eibar to a 4-4 draw on Sunday. Ghana attacker Emmanuel Boateng was introduced in the 87th minute by Levante but Raphael Dwamena was axed from the squad.

Kumasi-born Mohammed Salisu watched from the screens as his Real Valladolid side won 2-1 at Real Sociedad.

Yaw Yeboah played 89 minutes for Numencia in their 2-2 draw with Dep. La Coruna.

Richard Boateng was axed from the Real Oviedo matchday squad for their 2-1 home loss to Almeria.

Iddrisu Baba came off the bench to play the last 10 minutes for Real Mallorca in their 2-1 loss to Malaga.

ITALY

Juventus stretched their winning streak to 5 games in all competitions after beating rivals Inter Milan 1-0. Ghana international Kwadwo Asamoah played 90 minutes for Inter against his ex-club.

Ghanaian midfielder Raman Chibsah was in action for 90 minutes for Frosinone in their 4-0 defeat at Napoli on Saturday.

Sassuolo and Fiorentina drew 3-3 at the Mapei Stadium – Città del Tricolore. Ghanaian midfielder Alfred Duncan scored for Sassuolo but Kevin-Prince Boateng and Claud Adjapong missed the game with various degree of injuries.

Defender Nicholas Opoku warmed the bench for Udinese in their 3-1 home defeat to Atalanta on Sunday. Midfielder Emmanuel Agyeman Badu is nursing injury.

Empoli posted a 2-1 win over Bologna on Sunday. Ghana international Afriyie Acquah was introduced in the dying embers of the game by Empoli. However Godfred Donsah failed to make the Bologna squad for the game.

In the Serie B, Spezia posted a 4-0 win over Cosenza on Saturday. Ghanaian Emmanuel Gyasi played 90 minutes for Spezia.

Bright Addae was booked and replaced in the 84th minute by Ascoli in their 1-0 loss at Venezia.

In the Serie C, Emmanuel Agyemang did not make the Novara squad for their 2-2 draw with Lucchese.

Davis Mensah was introduced in the 62nd minute by Triestina in their 2-2 draw with Gubbio on Saturday.

33-year-old Ghanaian midfielder Marcus N’Ze Kouassi was not part of the Virtus Verona team that lost 3-1 against Imoles.

Midfielder Ransford Selasi played the full 90 minutes for Fano in their 1-0 away win over Renate.

Ex-Inter Milan midfielder Stephen Danso played the opening 45 minutes for Rimini in their 2-0 win over AlbinoLeffe.

NETHERLANDS

Forward Johnathan Opoku played 90 minutes for VVV Venlo when they drew 0-0 with Groningen on Sunday.

AZ Alkmaar recorded an emphatic 3-0 win over Fortuna Sittard in the Eredivisie on Friday evening. Dutch-born Ghanaian prodigy Myron Boadu watched the game from the screens due to an ankle problem.

ADO Den Haag and Graafschap shared the spoils in a 0-0 draw on Saturday. Ghanaian defender Robin Polley lost his place in the Den Haag squad for the game but former Ajax defender Leeroy Owusu played 90 minutes for Graafschap.

PSV Eindhoven dismantled visiting Excelsior Rotterdam 6-0 at the Philips Arena. Dutch-born Ghanaian Cody Gakpo was left out of the PSV squad for the game.

In the second-tier league, Ghanaian Dereck Darkwa was introduced by Jong Utrecht in the last 10 minutes of normal time in their 0-0 draw with FC Eindhoven.

Attacker Rodney Antwi was unused FC Volendam in their 2-1 home loss to FC Twente.

Dutch-born Ghanaian Kevin Luckassen came off the bench to play for Almere City in their 6-1 mauling at Sparta Rotterdam.

Kumasi-born Portugal youth international Ankra Asumah came off the bench in the 83rd minute to play for Maastricht when they lost 3-1 at RKC Waalwijk on Friday.

Experienced defender Carlos Opoku watched from the Rijnsburgse Boys bench in their 1-0 home loss to HFC.

Ghanaian defender Ritchie-Sam Anpong scored twice for UNA in their 5-0 battering of Dongen.

BELGIUM

Nana Kwasi Asare was booked in the first-half and played 90 minutes to help Gent win 2-0 over KAS Eupen. Eric Ocansey was brought on in the second-half of the game. Abdulnanaf Nurudeen travelled with the Ghana U20 squad.

Black Stars winger Nana Opoku Ampomah was replaced in the 90th minutes by Waasland-Beveren in their 2-1 home win over visiting Club Brugge KV.

Ghanaian youngster Francis Amuzu scored the opener for Anderlecht in their 1-1 draw with Charleroi. Ex-Asante Kotoko attacker Dauda Mohammed warmed the bench for the hosts but Dennis Appiah didn’t make the squad for the game.

William Owusu scored for Antwerp in their 3-0 away win Cercle Brugge KSV. Daniel Opare was unused by the winners.

Genk and Kortrijk drew 1-1. And, Ghanaian Bennard Kumordzi played in central defence for the away side while Joseph Aidoo starred in defence for Genk. But Joseph Paintsil was unused.

Samuel Asamoah impressed in midfield for St Truiden in their 1-1 draw with Standard Liege. Dutch-born Elton Acolatse warmed the bench for Truiden.

In the second-tier league, Ghanaian Ernest Agyiri played 72 minutes for Tubize when they suffered a 5-2 loss against Beerschot Wilrijk. Divine Naah was unused.

CZECH REPUBLIC

There was action for Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Antwi as he played full throttle and helped Pribram to a 2-1 away win over Dukla Prague in the top division.

Ghana attacker Benjamin Tetteh played 90 minutes for Sparta Prague when they suffered a 1-0 loss to Teplice.

GERMANY

Bayer Leverkusen posted a 1-0 win over Augsburg in the Bundesliga on Saturday. Austrian international of Ghanaian descent Kevin Danso warmed the bench for Augsburg.

Mainz 05 and Hannover 96 shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw. Young striker  Issah Abass failed to make the Mainz squad for the game but Sweden international of Ghanaian descent Robin Quaison played 90 minutes for the hosts.

Borussia Monchengladbach staged a strong second-half performance to win 3-0 against 10-man Stuttgart. Ghanaian youth defender Hans Sarpei Nunoo warmed the bench for the losers.

Schalke succumbed to a 2-1 home loss to in-form Dortmund. Ghanaian defender Baba Rahman was not in the Schalke squad for the game.

Wolfsburg and Hoffenheim shared the spoils in a 2-2 drawn game. Ghana defender Kasim Nuhu watched the entire proceeding from the bench. John Yeboah did not make the Wolfsburg squad for the game.

Dutch-born Ghanaian Derrick Luckassen missed Hertha Berlin’s 1-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt due to an ankle problem.

German-born Ghanaian Christopher Antwi-Adjei played full throttle for Paderborn in their 1-0 loss at Hamburg SV. But, Bernard Tekpetey missed the game for the losers.

Greuther Furth suffered a messy 5-0 home defeat to Erzgebirge Aue. Ghanaian midfielder David Atangawas introduced in the 59th minute by the losers.

Attacker Kingsley Schindler played 85 minutes for Holstein Kiel in their 2-0 away win over Dynamo Dresden. Erich Berko played 90 minutes for the losers.

Ghanaian Prince Owusu came off the bench to play for Arminia Bielefeld in their 1-1 draw with Sandhausen.

29-year-old Kevin Weidlich played full time for Energie Cottbus in their 3-3 draw at Aalen.

Former Dortmund starlet Joseph Claud-Gyau came off the bench to play for Duisburg in their 4-1 loss to FC Heidenheim.

Hallescher FC managed a 1-0 away win over Eintracht Braunschweig. German-born Ghanaian defender Steffan Nkansah played 90 minutes for the losers while Braydon Manu played 76 minutes for the winners.

Osnabruck defeated Wehen Wiesbaden 2-1 at their own backyard. Ghanaian midfielder Daniel Kofi Kyereh was introduced in the second-half by Wehen. Etienne Amenyido played 11 minutes for the winners.

Fortuna Koln and 1860 Munich drew 0-0. Ghanaian Kwame Yeboah warmed the bench for Koln.

Ghanaian Clifford Aniteye came off the bench to play the last 5 minutes of normal time for St Pauli II in their 2-1 loss at SSV Jeddeloh II.

Ghanaian Marcus Coffie scored the consolation goal and an own-goal while in action for Norderstedt when Wolfsburg II whipped them 6-1.

Former Ghana U17 striker Jonah Osabutey scored for Werder Bremen II in their 4-1 win over Lüneburger SK Hansa.

Elsewhere Daniel Somuah played 90 minutes for Bonner in their 2-0 away loss at FC Viktoria Köln in the Regionalliga.

Ex-Man City starlet Denzeil Boadu did not make the Dortmund II squad for their 3-1 win over Wattenscheid 09.

Canada-born Gabriel Boakye and Danish-born Niklas Nartey played for FC Koln II in their 2-1 away win over TV Herkenrath.

Neither Perric Afari nor David Boateng was in the Worms squad for their 3-2 loss at Astoria Walldorf on Saturday.

There was action for Ghanaian Okyere Wriedt as he helped Bayern Munich II to beat Illertissen 2-0.

In the Junior Bundesliga, Kaiserslautern U19 beat Karlsruher U19 2-0 at their own backyard. Ghanaian Stephan Mensah played 90 minutes for the losers.

Daniel Kyerewaa lasted 80 minutes for Fortuna Düsseldorf U19 in their 4-1 win over Dortmund U19.

John Yeboah Zamora scored a brace while Charles Hermann also scored for Wolfsburg U19 in their 3-1 win over Hertha Berlin U19.

Mensah Quarshie played 84 minutes for Werder Bremen U19 in their 1-0 win over Hannover 96 U19.

Neither Yannick Debrah nor Barnes Josepho played for Schalke U19 in their 2-1 win over URodinghausen U19.

FRANCE

There was goal for Ghanaian Grejohn Kyei who scored in the 62nd minute for Lens in their 4-2 win over Versailles in the Coupe de France.

Attacker Ebenezer Assifuah came off the bench in the second-half to play for Le Havre in their 5-1 away win over Villers in the same competition.

John Boye helped Metz to a 1-0 win over Oissel in the Coupe de France.

Former Ghana U17 midfielder Charles Boateng played for Avranches but could not help them to secure qualification to the next round by losing 1-0 to Pontivy.

Ghana No. 2 Lawrence Ati-Zigi manned the post for Sochaux in their 1-0 away win over FA Illkirch on Saturday.

GREECE

Mike Asigba played for Lamia but Abdul Osman was not part of their matchday squad for their 2-0 loss at AEK Athens FC.

MONTENEGRO

Winger Alex Yamoah did not make the Zeta squad for their 0-0 draw with OFK Petrovac.

SCOTLAND

Danish-born Ghanaian Danny Amankwaa did not make the Hearts squad for their 1-0 win over Motherwell.

Ghana winger Thomas Agyepong has recovered from injury but lacked match fitness when his Hibernian side won 1-0 against Hamilton.

In the Championship, midfielder Christian Prince Buaben warmed the bench for Falkirk when they drew 2-2 with Alloa.

SLOVENIA

Ghanaian Stephen Wiredu came off the bench to play for Krsko in their 2-1 loss at Domzale.

NK Olimpija Ljubljana won 3-1 against hosts ND Gorica. Ghanaian pair of Kingsley Boateng and Eric Boakye played for the winners.

Ghanaian Dickson Afoakwa was unused by Triglav in their 0-0 draw at Mura on Sunday.

ALBANIA

Partizani Tirana managed to hold Tueta to a 1-1 draw on Saturday. Ghanaian Emmanuel Mensah played for Partizani. Former Asante Kotoko striker Latif Amadu played for Teuta.

Vincent Atinga played for KF Tirana when they beat Kastrioti 4-0. Winful Cobbina did not make the squad for the game for the winners. Charles Atsina warmed the bench for the losers.

AUSTRIA

Attacker Samuel Tetteh did not make the trip with LASK Linz for their 1-1 draw with Wolfsberger in the Bundesliga.

Injured Seth Paintsil watched Admira’s 2-2 draw with Salzburg from the stands.

CROATIA

Rijeka claimed a 3-0 win over Lokomotiv Zagreb in the Croatia top-flight league on Saturday. Ghanaian attacker Maxwell Acosty Boadu was introduced in the dying embers of the game by Rijeka.

Former Inter Milan Primavera attacker Said Ahmed Said missed Hajduk Split’s 3-1 win over Istra due to injury. Ghanaian midfielder Obeng Regan played 90 minutes of the losers in the game.

Midfielder Nasiru Moro warmed the bench for Gorica in their 2-1 home loss to Osijek.

DENMARK

Hobro and Sonderjyske played out a pulsating 0-0 draw in the Superliga on Saturday. Ghanaian pair of Yaw Ihle Amankwah and Emmanuel Sabbi both started the game for Hobro.

Emmanuel Oti played 71 minutes for Esbjerg in their 3-0 loss against FC Copenhagen.

HUNGARY

Defender Abraham Akwasi Frimpong conspicuously missed out of Ferencvaros’ 3-2 win over Mezokovesd-Zsory.

Haladas are all but set to return to the second-tier with their below par performance as they suffered a heavy 4-0 battering at MTK Budapest on Saturday. German-born Ghanaian Reagy Ofosu was replaced at half-time by the losers.

ISRAEL

Ex-Dreams FC midfielder Leonard Owusu played for Ashdod in their 1-1 draw with Maccabi Petah Tikva.

MALTA

Former Fiorentina Primavera defender Nii Nortey Ashong played for Sliema Wanderers in their 3-1 home defeat against Balzan on Saturday.

Ghanaian Gabriel Mensah scored a 37th minute consolation goal for Pieta Hotspurs in their 3-2 away loss against Hamrun.

Former Udinese midfielder Azian Innocent Tano was not part of the St Andrews squad for their 0-0 draw with Floriana.

Ghanaian midfielder Isaac Ntow Tuah played 90 minutes for Hibernians in their 2-0 win over Senglea Athletics.

RUSSIA

Midfielder Rabiu Mohammed warmed the bench for FK Anzi Makhackala when Spartak Moscow mauled them 3-0 in the Premier League.

Dynamo Moscow dismantled visiting Ural 4-0. Midfielder Aziz Tetteh scored in the 64th minute for Dynamo.

SERBIA

Red Star Belgrade won 3-0 against visiting Napredak on Saturday. Ghana forward Richmond Boakye came off the bench to play for the winners but Rashid Sumaila did not make the squad for the game.

Dinamo Vranje suffered a 2-1 home loss to FK Vozdovac. Ghanaian attacker Suraka Zakaria played 90 minutes for the winners.

Francis Kyeremeh was left out of the Radnik squad for their 2-1 win over Macva.

There was no Samuel Afum in the Sparta Subotica squad for their 3-0 away loss to Radnicki Nis on Sunday.

Forward Samuel Owusu played for Cukaricki in their 0-0 draw at Proleter on Sunday.

SLOVAKIA

Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Mitch Apau struck his third league goal of the season for Slovan Bratislava on Saturday afternoon as they dismantled Zilina 5-2 in the Fortuna Liga. Young Ghanaian defender Benson Anang was also in action Zilina.

Defender Patrick Kojo Asmah was not part of the Senica team for their 1-1 draw with Ruzomberok.

Former Vision FC striker Sadam Sulley played the opening 45 minutes for Michalovce when they beat Podbrezova 1-0.

Trnava beat Trencin 3-0 on Saturday. Attacker Osman Bukari was sacrificed on the 75th minute by the losers.

AZERBAIJAN

Ghanaian forward Kwame Amponsah Karikari was named on the Neftci Baku team for their 0-0 draw with Sumqayıt.

BULGARIA

CSKA Sofia won 1-0 against Vereya in the top-flight. Emmanuel Gyasi played 90 minutes for the winners but Michael Tawiah was not part of the Vereya squad for the game.

Ishmael Baidu was in action for 74 minutes for Septemvri Sofia when they beat Dunav Ruse 2-1. Ghanaian midfielder Derrick Mensah was axed from the Ruse squad for the game.

CYPRUS

Former Atletico Madrid B midfielder Benjamin Akoto Asamoah played 90 minutes for Doxa in their 3-1 away loss to Anorthosis.

POLAND

Ghanaian defender Frank Adu Kwame was left out of the Legnica squad for their 3-1 away win over Gornik.

ROMANIA

Attacker Lawson Bekui played 90 minutes for Poli Iasi in their 1-0 win over Calarasi.

UKRAINE

Ghana youth defender Najeed Yakubu was not part of the Vorskla squad for their 1-0 win over Ch. Odessa.

SWITZERLAND

Ghanaian midfielder Majeed Ashimeru helped St Gallen to a 3-2 win over Xamax in the Super League.

Gregory Kwesi Wuthrich is still out of the Young Boys squad as they won 3-2 against FC Thun.
