South African giants Orlando Pirates are reported to have expressed interest in signing Ghana no.1 goalkeeper Richard Ofori.
The Buccaneers are in the market looking for a shot stopper to compete with first-choice Brilliant Khuzwayo who has failed to impress his pay masters so far this season.
Soccer Laduma quoted an unnamed source claiming Pirates are eager to secure the services of the 25-year-old Ghanaian international ahead of next season.
“Orlando Pirates are interested in Richard Ofori from Maritzburg United. With inconsistencies and injuries in their goalkeeping department, the club is considering making an offer for Ofori for next season.” The website stated.
The former Wa All Stars goalkeeper has been Maritzburg best player so far in the South African top-flight league despite the club rocking the bottom of the league table with 14 points in 21 games.
