Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum is confident that winning consecutive home matches will significantly enhance his players’ confidence as they prepare for their upcoming clash.
The Porcupine Warriors recently achieved narrow 1-0 victories against Accra Lions and defending champions FC Samartex at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium.
They will now take on Basake Holy Stars away at the CAM Park in Anyinase on Sunday for match week eight.
Reflecting on the importance of those victories, Ogum stated, “Winning back-to-back matches at home should give the players that confidence.”
He added, “The supporters are behind them, and we know they will come in large numbers to support us. We have to believe in ourselves and remain calm while playing within our game structure.”
Currently, Kotoko sits second in the league table with 14 points, just one point behind GoldStars, having played one game less, and they remain unbeaten this season.
