Ghana youth defender Nana Kwame Antwi has joined French club Lille OSC from FC Lori Vanadzor on a season-long loan deal.
The 19-year-old joins the French powerhouse from Armenian top-flight side FC Lori Vanadzor with an option to buy.
A statement on the club’s website said “The LOSC continues to prepare for the future with the arrival of the promising defender Nana Kwame Antwi.”
“At just 19, the Ghana U20 international is on loan (with call option) for a season at LOSC by FC Lori Vanadzor (Armenia). He will evolve initially with the group Pro 2.
“Young and early detected, Nana Antwi has a certain margin of progression that it will continue to develop among the Dogues, in the group Pro 2 Lille, at first.
“The LOSC is delighted to welcome this hope of African football and wishes it the best of adaptations.” He had a tremendous season at FC Lori in the Armenian top-flight league with a goal in 33 matches last season,”
The Ghanaian youngster, joined FC Lori from lower-tier side Accra Young Wise last year.
Antwi featured for the Ghana U17 team during the 2017 Africa Youth Championship qualifiers but failed to make the final cut for the tournament.
