Exeter City are announced the signing of British-born Ghana central defender Johnly Levi Yfeko on a season-long loan from Scottish Premiership side Rangers which includes an option to buy.
Johnly becomes the club’s seventh signing of the summer, and the second to arrive on loan following Joe Whitworth’s move from Crystal Palace.
This will be the 21-year-old’s first experience of EFL football, however he’s already had experience playing at three clubs.
The London-born centre-back began his career in Tottenham Hotspur’s academy before moving into the midlands with Leicester.
He continued his journey up north by joining Rangers in 2022, mainly featuring for the Glasgow club’s B team but making one start in the Scottish League Cup – a win at Ibrox against Greenock Morton last August.

Manager Gary Caldwell explained how Johnly was the type of player he’s been wanting to bring in this summer.
“We’ve been looking for a replacement for Alex Hartridge and Johnly was a player who came up through my contacts in Scotland.
“He’s very physical, big, quick and really good on the ball. He can bring it out, play off his left foot and has a good range of passing,” Gary Caldwell said.
“Johnly is someone who we think has a lot of potential, and with the work that we do with younger players, he could improve a lot while he’s here as well, but he’s someone who is ready for League One football now.”
