Nsoatreman FC has made history by becoming the first team to represent Ghana in the 2024/25 CAF Confederation Cup after a thrilling victory in the 2023/24 Ghana FA Cup final.
The team secured the prestigious trophy by winning a penalty shootout against Bofoakwa Tano after the match ended 1-1 after 120 minutes of intense play at the University of Ghana Stadium.
The match was marked by a dramatic comeback by Nsoatreman FC, who trailed 1-0 at halftime before Sadat Mohammed’s late goal in the second half sent the game into extra time.
Despite neither team scoring during extra time, Nsoatreman FC emerged victorious in the penalty shootout, winning 5-4 and claiming the MTN FA Cup trophy.
With this historic win, Coach Maxwell Konadu and his team are now set to make their mark in their debut appearance in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
