Legon Eleven Wonders have confirmed the appointment of Nii Odartey Lamptey as the club’s new head coach, with his tenure officially beginning on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.
The former Ghana international has put pen to paper on a deal with the Ghana Premier League side and is expected to lead the team into the upcoming 2025/26 season.
“Nii Odartey Lamptey today officially begins his role as our new head coach,” the club announced in a statement.
Lamptey, once regarded as one of Ghana’s brightest talents after excelling at youth level, brings with him valuable experience from his previous stints in coaching, including spells with Elmina Sharks and other domestic sides. His knowledge of the local game and reputation for developing young players is seen as a major boost for Eleven Wonders, who are keen to make a strong impact in the new campaign.
The club’s management expressed confidence in his appointment, noting that Lamptey’s vision aligns with their ambition to stabilize in the league and push for competitive performances.
Lamptey himself is expected to outline his immediate objectives in the coming days, as he begins preparations with the squad for the new season.
Legon Eleven Wonders will kick off their 2025/26 Ghana Premier League campaign in September, with Lamptey’s debut in the dugout set to attract significant attention from fans and pundits alike.
