Former Nigerian international Mitiu Adepoju has lauded Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey as one of the best he has in the Spanish La Liga in recent years.
Adepoju who featured for Real Madrid, Racing Santander and Real Sociedad mentioned that he has been following the Atletico Madrid enforcer for three years now and he is very impressed by his output.
“Thomas Partey is really doing very well, I’ve been following him for like 2 to 3 years now, when he was in the second team and after he was promoted to the first-team,” Adepoju sstated on La Liga’s Inside Show.
“The way he’s been playing, he has commanded a very good presence of himself. I’m delighted by the way he is playing and I believe we can look out for him, he’s a great player and he is going to continue to be great in La Liga.”
Partey 26, has been a revelation in the Atletico senior team since been promoted in 2015 after successful loan spells with Almeria and Real Mallorca.
Currently, he is the most sought after defensive midfielder in Europe with Arsenal, PSG, Liverpool, Inter Milan, Roma and Bayer Munich all after his signature.
Atletico are keen on keeping him and talks are ongoing for for contract extension which will see his buy out clause been pegged at 85 million Euros.
