Asante Kotoko posted a 3-0 win over Techiman Eleven Wonders in matchday 3 of the Normalisation Committee Special Competition at the Nkoranza Park on Sunday.
Two first half goals from Abdul Fataw Safiu, Captain Amos Frimpong and Evans Owusu’s second half strike was all that CK Akonnor’s side needed to record their second win in the competition after previously beating Aduana Stars 1-0 in their first game.
Striker Abdul Fataw Safiu opened the scoring for the Porcupine Warriors before Amos Frimpong doubled the lead after heading in Abdul Fataw’s freekick to give the visitors a 2-0 lead after after recess.
Back from break, Evans won a ball halfway inside the Eleven Wonders centre-half and followed his two steps with a thunderbolt that went straight into the side net of the far post to make it 3-0 for Asante Kotoko.
The hosts kept pushing Kotoko for a consolation but could not unlock Akonnor’s resolute defense as they ended the game with an emphatic 3-0 victory.
