Napoli striker Victor Oshimen has expressed disappointment following the Super Eagles failure to book qualification to the 2022 World Cup.
Nigeria failed to qualify for the tournament after been held to a 1-1 draw by Ghana in the second leg played at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium on March 29.

The first leg ended in a goalless draw at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, thus Ghana qualified due to the away goal rules in the second leg.
Oshimen who was a constant threat to the Ghana defense in both legs shared his frustration on the Super Eagles missing out of the mundial.
“It was very disappointing; I don’t even know what to say. We all did our best but it was not enough on the day. It is sad because the next World Cup is years away and we have to sit this one out,” Osimhen told PUNCH Sports Extra.

He added: “I was impressed with the fans that came out; I have never seen that kind of support in Nigeria”.
Meanwhile the draw for the Qatar World Cup was held on Friday.
Ghana have been placed in Group H along side Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal, Uruguay and Korea Republic.
