Enungu Rangers No.1 goalkeeper Nana Bonsu says his call up into Ghana’s Black Stars team will surely come but at the appropriate time despite being snubbed for the Cup of Nations final qualification match against Kenya this weekend.
Bonsu, who has been named as the best keeper in the 2018/2019Caf Confederation Cup Group Stage was tipped to have made Coach Kwasi Appiah’s 2-4 man squad for the game against the Harambee Stars but failed to make the cut as Kotoko’s Felix Annan and Lawreence Ati Zigi make the squad together with regular starter Richard Ofori.
But Bonsu who is not perturbed about the snub is hopeful his time will soon come.
‘’The Goalkeepers invited to the Black Stars are equally good as l am and I believe my time will come. said the Nigeria based shot stopper in an interview with Hello FM.
‘’I have not spoken to any member of the Black Stars technical team but I don’t think Coach Kwasi Appiah knows me because I met him at Jonathan Mensah’s wedding and from the look of things I think he doesn’t know me but for Olele he knows me very well.
‘’But in all I think my time will come’’ He concluded.
