The general captain of the Black Princesses, Mukrama Abdulai, is certain the team will have a good campaign at the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
Ghana will be making a sixth appearance at the mundial in Costa Rica, having played in the last five editions.
The Princesses will play their first game against USA on Thursday, August 11, before facing Japan and the Netherlands in subsequent games.
Ahead of the opening game, Mukarama is hopeful the team will enjoy success.
“The mood in camp has been very good and I think everyone is keeping their focus individually and as a team,” she said.
“I think the girls are ready and marking time till [today] Thursday to go and do what our technical team has taught us. The mood is great and we are encouraging each other to stay positive.
“Expectations are always high but we will be taking it game after game and how to approach it.”
