Ghanaian defender Mohammed Salisu has been named in the UEFA Champions League Team of the Week following a standout performance in AS Monaco’s 2-2 draw on Wednesday night.
Selected by UEFA’s technical observer panel, Salisu impressed with his defensive prowess, winning two out of three ground duels and making three crucial interceptions.
The towering defender also contributed offensively, scoring one of Monaco’s two goals in the tightly fought contest.
